Straw condoles Iran on the plane crash

Following the disastrous plane crash in Tehran with a dozen of journalists on board, the British Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw said expressed his condolences to the Iranians.

In his message, he said: “Today’s plane crash in Tehran has caused terrible loss of life. Earlier today, I spoke to Iran’s Foreign Minister Dr Manouchehr Mottaki to pass on my condolences to His Excellency, President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and the people of Iran."

He added: "On behalf of the European Union I want to express my deepest sympathies to the families of all those killed and injured in this horrific accident”.
