Iran: UK report biased
24/07/2005

In response to UK’s annual report on Human Rights in Iran, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamal Kharrazi called the report as biased and worthless.

“Since, such reports are prepared with the intention to achieve certain political objectives, they are worthless”, said Iran’s Foreign Minister referring to FCO’s Annual Report on Iran’s Human Rights.

“Islamophobic actions are rapidly growing in European countries and attacks on mosques in such countries are a clear example of human rights violations in Europe, which should be taken into consideration”, Kharrazi said.

“The help offered to Saddam Hussein during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war is another example of human rights violations by the Western countries and those who have carried out such policies should be tried”. Iranian Foreign Minister further added.

Kamal Kharrazi also gave news that Iran was planning to carry out similar reports on human rights situation in other nations, including European countries, which will be prepared, evaluated and released to the world community in the future.
