No justification for military action against Iran.
07/04/2005

Yesterday, the British Foreign Office issued a press briefing on Iran. During which the government announced that there was no justification for military action against Iran. This briefing comes a week before the next IAEA announcement, which is the first opportunity for the international community to see how far Iran has implemented its voluntary suspension of any nuclear technology projects that could lead to the appropriation of a nuclear weapon.

The Foreign Office added that this demonstrates how all parties concerned (Iran, Britain, France and Germany) have been successful, with regards to the reaching an agreement on the nuclear issue and maintaining a process of constructive dialogue.

However, the Foreign Office added that the IAEA results could be pivotal for maintaining the British governments support for Iran.
